Privacy policy

Tabler is a tool for research teams who handle sensitive material. This page says plainly what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and what you can ask us to do.

Last updated October 8, 2026

The short version

  • We collect what we need to run your account and store your work, and nothing for advertising.
  • There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on Tabler.
  • We do not sell your data, and we do not use your content to train AI models.
  • Your projects are visible only to members of the organisation that owns them, and to anyone you send a view-only share link.
  • Your account and research are stored in the United States.
  • Write to support@tabler.ai to see, correct, export or delete your data.

Who we are

Tabler ("we", "us") provides the link-analysis service at tabler.ai. Tabler is made in America. For anything in this policy, contact us at support@tabler.ai.

What we collect

Your account

Your email address and a password, which our sign-in provider stores only as a secure hash. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive the name, email address and account identifier that provider shares with us; we never see your Google or Microsoft password.

Your organisation

The organisations you belong to and your role in each: owner, admin, editor or viewer.

Your content

The projects, charts, entities, connections, photos, details and sources you and your team put into Tabler. Research content often includes information about other people. Your organisation decides what goes into its projects and is responsible for having a lawful basis to hold it; we process it only to provide the service to you.

The history of changes

Tabler keeps an audit trail: for each change to a project, which account made it, when, and what changed. This lets your team account for a chart's history.

Technical data

Like any website, the servers that deliver Tabler record technical information such as IP addresses, browser type and the time of each request. Our providers use these logs to keep the service secure and working. We do not use them to profile you.

What we store in your browser

When you sign in, your browser keeps a session token in local storage so you stay signed in. Tabler sets no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.

How we use it

  • To provide Tabler: sign you in, store and sync your work, show live edits to your team, and serve share links.
  • To keep it secure: enforce who can see what, investigate misuse, and keep the audit trail.
  • To support you: answer your questions and tell you about changes to the service or to this policy.
  • To meet legal obligations.

Who helps us run Tabler

We use a small number of service providers. Each receives only what it needs for its part of the service.

Supabase
Database, sign-in and file storage. Your account, your organisation's content, photos and the audit trail are stored with Supabase, in the United States (Amazon Web Services, US East).
GitHub Pages
Delivers the Tabler website and app files to your browser.
Adobe Fonts
Delivers the typefaces the site uses; your browser requests them directly from Adobe.
cdnjs (Cloudflare) and esm.sh
Deliver open-source code libraries the app runs in your browser.
Google and Microsoft
Only if you choose to sign in with them.

None of these providers receive your research content except Supabase, which stores it on our behalf.

Who can see your content

Members of the organisation that owns a project, according to their role. Row-level security in the database enforces this on every request. Anyone holding a view-only share link can view that one chart until your team revokes the link. We access your content only when you ask us to for support, or when we must to keep the service secure or comply with the law. We may disclose information if required by law or valid legal process.

Security

All traffic to Tabler is encrypted in transit, and our database provider encrypts stored data at rest. Access is scoped to your organisation in the database itself, and every change is recorded in the audit trail. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects your data, we will tell you without undue delay.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and your organisation's content for as long as the account is active. When you ask us to delete your account or your organisation, we delete its content, except where the law requires us to keep something.

Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your content in Tabler at any time and export any chart as a file, including its photos and sources. You can ask us to give you a copy of your personal data, correct it, or delete it by writing to support@tabler.ai. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR; we will honour them. If your organisation manages your account, we may refer your request to it.

Children

Tabler is a professional tool and is not intended for anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will tell account holders by email before they take effect.
